Causes of Premature Tire Wear

Wouldn't it be great if your Jeep tires lasted forever? Unfortunately, no matter what you do, there will come a time when you will need to replace a tire or four.

Since tire changes can be expensive, we hope to show you there are steps you can take to avoid premature tire wear on your Jeep. If you follow these few steps, your tires will last longer, thus saving you both time and money.

There are several causes of premature tire wear:

1. Tire rotations are very important. Neglecting to rotate your tires when needed can lower the life of your tires. Become familiar with the benefits of regular tire rotation, as this will open your eyes as to why it is a habit you should get into.

2. Improper air pressure. Do you have too much air in your tires? Not enough? Either way, this can cause trouble. Consider doing this: check your air pressure every couple of weeks. This will ensure that it is never too high or too low.

3. Balance issues. Improper balance can cause tires to wobble, thus leading to improper wear. This is often accompanied by vibration in your steering. If you believe one or more tires need to be balanced, it is important to address this concern right away.

Premature tire wear is something we all want to avoid. Follow the advice we have listed to ensure that your tires last a long time. At StockWheels.com, we are wheel experts with years of experience.
